Our department has been in service since the 60’s, we have a very dedicated team who give their time to train and help others in some of their darkest moments.
The services you provide and the area you service: We provide fire protection services along with motor vehicle collision services. We also provide support to our community in assisting with fairs, homecoming events and first aid services to sports events within our community.
History of your team: Our department has been in service since the 60’s, we have a very dedicated team who give their time to train and help others in some of their darkest moments. We are a very underfunded unit having to do a lot of our own fundraising to keep operating.
Involvement in the community: We are the first on the scene to help when others are in their greatest time of need no matter what we are doing at that time. We build ice rink for our community each winter and provide sporting and other event covers for fire and first aid.
How this could change your life? : Our town does not have very much money and does not financially fund us, we do our own fundraising, the RM does give us $5000 per year which does not go far. Our fire truck is on its last legs and is very old and almost unserviceable, we are currently trying to raise money to buy a new us replacement so we can keep providing our valuable services to our community.
